Dropshipping profit margin calculator
See what is left from a sale after supplier cost, shipping, fees, a refund reserve you choose, and ad cost per sale. No account, and no sales forecast.
How to price a dropshipping product
How the numbers are read
Customer total is the product price plus shipping you charge. Supplier cost and the shipping you pay come out next, then the card fee, the platform percent, and the refund reserve. What is left is the most that sale can spend on ads.
Break-even ROAS is that customer total divided by the amount left before ads, when any amount is left. The hosted store uses a stricter publish check: the price has to clear supplier cost, an estimated card fee, and a platform fee on merchandise only. Ads and refunds are not part of that check unless you enter them here.
A margin under 15% is flagged for review because that is the rule in the launch workspace. It is not a benchmark this site claims for every store.
Questions
Does this calculator use live sales data?
No. It uses the price, shipping, fees, refund reserve, and ad cost you type. It does not look up orders, revenue, or ad results.
Do I need an account?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is saved. Create an account when you want to keep a launch workspace. Pro checkout opens only after that account exists.
Is the remainder profit I will earn?
No. Taxes, duties, overhead, a card fee different from the one you entered, and refunds you did not reserve are excluded. A positive remainder is not a forecast that the product will sell.
Which fees are filled in for me?
The card-fee estimate and the platform percent start from this deployment’s settings. Percentage fees apply to the customer total, which is the product price plus shipping you charge. You can change every rate. On the hosted store, the platform fee is charged on merchandise only, not on shipping.
What is break-even ROAS here?
When money is left before ads, break-even ROAS is the customer total divided by that remainder. If ads return less than that multiple, the sale does not cover the costs you entered. If nothing is left before ads, there is no break-even ROAS.
Does Pro change the math?
No. Pro does not change this calculation. A free account can save 3 launch workspaces that use the same math. Pro is $29 per month and allows 50 saved launch workspaces. Stripe Checkout opens after you create an account.
